Fugly! the movie premieres in New York City

Fugly!, written by Kathy DeMarco and John Leguizamo and directed by Alfredo de Villa, premiered in New York City earlier this month. This new anti-romantic comedy about a Latino comic Jesse Sanchez, played by Leguizamo, who has a near-death experience that forces him to revisit his personal and professional highs and lows. The film blends past, present, fantasy, and reality to tell of one man's hilarious quest for fame, fortune, and fulfillment.

The film also features Rosie Perez, Radha Mitchell, Griffin Dunne, Yul Vasquez, Tomas Milian and Ally Sheedy.

New movie, CHEF, starring John Leguizamo, premieres at SXSW

"Jon Favreau asked me to be apart of this move and asked 'Would I be willing to improvise and go off book?' I said 'Yeah, for you, anything man. You invented the independent film!' Swingers was the greatest independent film and the beginning of the whole thing and now he’s going back to it. I go 'Yeah, I’ll be the Latin Vince Vaughn!' We went on this incredible journey, I had to go to cooking school in restaurants for three weeks, work with chefs – do the whole business."
